Mattatall Signs Limited (MSL) is Atlantic Canada’s leader in custom and program signage.

MSL was incorporated in 1979 by our Founder, Robert Mattatall – at that time, the operation consisted of only he, and a sign painter. From then on, our focus has been on our mantra; Technology, Ingenuity, Experience. These three words have guided us to become an industry leader in Canada 43 years later.

After three building moves, MSL landed in our current home at 80 Ilsley Ave in Dartmouth. Here we have 24,000 sq. ft. of sign making heaven. We employ the latest sign making technologies, and have an incredible staff of talented, intelligent, and experienced individuals who are very passionate about the sign industry.

MSL’s future is as bright as its past – in 2018, the company entered its second generation when Justin Boudreau and Rob Mattatall purchased the company from Robert and Shauna. This was a proud moment for the entire family, and the second generation is intent on keeping MSL’s strong value proposition to our clients.   

Mattatall Signs Limited are proud members of the Sign Association of Canada, the International Sign Association, and World Sign Associates – a number of our employees and executive have been board members, and even leaders of these organizations.

MSL is a UL and cUL certified shop, and they carry the nationally recognized COR certification for safety awareness.

Over the years, MSL has received numerous awards for outstanding signage, such as the WSA Coolness Award, and the SAC BOCSI Awards.

For the past 11 years, MSL has been the recipient of the Consumer’s Choice Award for Signs in Halifax.
